Years ago, I use to to think that if I wanted to grow my hair out, I would just let it go without getting it trimmed... Geez was I wrong 😜😜. At one time or another we have gotten a really bad haircut and we would be so scared to step in the salon to get a trim. It's true that some hairstylist can just take more than what we want and we would go home 😡😡 and a possibility of some tears 😭. Through the years, I have learned a few important lessons.
1. Stick to one hairstylist because they become more than your stylist. They become your friend, your family and sometimes your therapist.
2. Don't be afraid to talk and let them know how you want your hair and your goal. A good stylist will listen, educate and make suggestions.
3. Go to an experienced hairstylist
4. Trim your hair every eight weeks. Trimming doesn't mean to cut an inch or two. If you're committed to growing your hair, you can talk to your hairstylist and tell them to just dust the ends to remove all the dry ends so it doesn't form into those ugly ball, split and break.
